Downers Grove, IL —
The RedBox call center, 1431 Opus Place, Downers Grove received a bomb threat by a note left in the men’s restroom May 11.
Downers Grove police checked the business with building security and found nothing suspicious at 2:15 p.m., according to reports.
Police said an employee of RedBox went into the third floor men’s room at about 1:50 p.m. and found a typed note on the shelf inside the men’s room near the door.
The note was taken for evidence. The note read, “There is a bomb on the 3rd floor. It is set to go off anytime from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday May 11, 2010. Better inform all employees or else. This is what happens when they decide to close the call center down and layoff all the employees. I need to work to support my family and pay my bills, that’s why I am doing this. Good-bye call center.”
